Cityâ€™s International Affairs Department launches 2009 SA Export Leaders
SAN ANTONIO, TX.- The City of San Antonio’s International Affairs Department is accepting applications now for the 2009 San Antonio Export Leaders Program (SAELP). The program is designed for companies that are considering entering or expanding their position in the global marketplace. To date, 79 graduates have successfully generated more than $77 million after completing the program.
The 2009 Export Leaders Program includes four training seminars by industry experts and two required trade missions to Guadalajara and Mexico City where participants experience matchmaking sessions with viable business partners. Training and trade expertise is provided by consultants from the University of Texas at San Antonio’s International Trade Center and the U.S. Department of Commerce Foreign Commercial Service.
The International Affairs Department serves as the focal point for attracting and promoting foreign trade, investment and international relations around the world for the San Antonio community.
