Headache free tax season

It’s tax season, a stressful time for most, but the City’s Economic Development Department’s (EDD) South Texas Women’s Business Center (STWBC) is hoping to prevent a lot of the stress that business owners feel during this time of the year by hosting a seminar that will help participants understand IRS forms and the IRS process.

The seminar entitled “IRS & Taxes: How to Prepare and File the Right Way” will feature guest speaker Jorge Herrera, CPA and owner of Herrera CPA/CIA and will take place from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 17 at the Economic Development Department’s training room, Frost Bank Building – 19th floor, 100 W. Houston Street.

At the event, Herrera will explain the importance of filing business taxes correctly. He will also provide a detail explanation of IRS forms.

The STWBC is a program of the South Texas Business Fund and the City of San Antonio’s Economic Development Department which offers education, counseling, and training services to aspiring entrepreneurs and established business owners.

To register for the event or for more information, visit or call (210) 207-0112. The event is free but a donation of $10 is encouraged to help support the Center’s programming.
