Applications sought for Police and Fire Civil Service Commission

SAN ANTONIO, TX.-   Applications are now being accepted for the Firefighters’ and Police Officers’ Civil Service Commission. Citizens who wish to apply for the board may obtain an application from the Office of the City Clerk (located on the second floor of City Hall) 100 Military Plaza, or by visiting

In accordance with state statue, citizens who are appointed to the commission must:

1. Be of good moral character
2. Be a United States citizen
3. Be a resident of the municipality for more than three years
4. Be over the age of 25
5. May not have held a public office within the preceding three years of a commission appointment
