Department of Justice Grant Funding Available

SAN ANTONIO, TX.- United States Attorney Johnny Sutton is announcing the availability of new grant funding through Project Safe Neighborhoods (PSN) and the Anti-Gang violence initiative.

This year the Western District of Texas was awarded $239,000 in PSN funding that will be awarded on a competitive basis.

To bolster local efforts, the U.S. Attorney’s Office is encouraging interested organizations within the district to submit applications for the grant funding.

The deadline for submissions is noon on Monday, June 30th, 2008. All applications for grant funding should be submitted in writing to the fiscal agent. Given the short time frame for submission of grant applications it is recommended that grant applications be sent via email.
