Education is the Issue
Education is the issue; I will use all the powers of the office of city mayor to focus on improving education. I will dedicate my energy and advocacy skills to solving the education crises which now exists. I will be a tireless advocate for education on the local, state, and national level.
The quality of the public educational system is an issue that underlies almost everything. After all, without good schools, young families move out of the city (and when the schools get better, they move back). Without good schools, graduates (and, particularly, non-graduates) struggle to find good jobs, and are tempted into the easier money of crime. Without good schools, the quality of our labor force declines and businesses leave.
We need change, new leadership that benefits all people.
San Antonio and Texas are the biggest, and richest, yet we fall short in education. We need change and strong advocacy and leadership for education.
We can be number one in education by taking advantage of progressive education methods, by providing state of the art educational tools all students and incentives to the parents to promote learning in their children.
We have the educational resources to provide a quality education to all children
We have the technology using wind, and solar power to reduce the cost of energy for all homes.
We have the technology to build energy efficient home affordable to all.
We have the knowledge to provide healthy foods for healthier families and prevent diseases
We have the technology to run autos without dependence on oil and reducing the cost of
Transportation for a family
We have the knowledge to provide the basics, jobs, education, food, housing, transportation, and medical care to all at little or no cost.
My mission is to work toward these goals.
We are at the beginning of a civil technological revolution where the above can be a readily available to all.
These are the reasons I am running for mayor.
