Residents invited to public meeting for the proposed Conservation District
Community stakeholders are invited to provide input on the development design standards on the proposed Jefferson Neighborhood Conservation District on Wednesday, September 10 at 6:30 p.m. at the Jefferson High School Cafeteria, located at 723 Donaldson Avenue. The City’s Planning and Community Development Department and the Jefferson NCD Planning Team are hosting the meeting.
The Jefferson Neighborhood Conservation District area is generally bound by Babcock Road to the north, Wilson and Kampman Streets to the east, Mulberry/ Manor/ Mistletoe to the south, and St. Cloud to the west.
A Neighborhood Conservation District (NCD) is an overlay zoning district that contains design standards for new development. The standards are based on an extensive survey of the character-defining features of a neighborhood.
After taking into consideration the comments from the public, these development design standards will be presented by the Planning and Community Development Department to the Zoning Commission and City Council for consideration and adoption.
