The mural was painted by San Antonio Visual Artist member Michael Herrera, who donated his time and talents to the project using materials supplied by the school’s PTA. In a further effort to prevent tagging, teacher Chris Shelton will paint a base coat over the rest of the building and coordinate covering it with student and parent handprints. The endeavor is part of ongoing efforts to beautify the school and its surrounding neighborhood.
