Sebastian to be Honored at AEM

SAN ANTONIO, TX.- AEM will honor one of Mexico’s most revered sculptors, SEBASTIAN, during the organization’s XIII annual golf tournament. SEBASTIAN is the creator of the Torch of Friendship, a sculpture that is prominently displayed in downtown San Antonio honoring the close cultural ties between Mexico and San Antonio. “We are honored to have such an icon of the arts at our event,” said Alfonso Tomita President of AEM. “This demonstrates yet again how our organization represents business and culture between San Antonio and Mexico.” Tomita concludes.

Donations from the proceeds will benefit Bexar County Detention Ministries, Inc. and the Mexican American Institute of the University of the Incarnate Word. The inaugural drive will be by Hon. Armando Ortiz-Rocha, Consul General of México in San Antonio. The event was organized by the AEM Golf Committee Sergio Ostos, Genaro Dávila, Eduardo Berain, Antonio Franck y Alec Shaw. Tee time is at noon sharp at the Quarry Golf Club on Friday May 1, 2009.
